TEACHER (Hourly-paid)
The British Council Teaching Operation in Budapest, Hungary is always interested in recruiting high performing hourly-paid Teachers of English to teach on our adult and young learner summer programmes
The positions for teachers of English offer exciting opportunities for highly-motivated EFL teachers who are ready to work with us as we re-enter the English teaching market in Hungary, operating in a very flexible and creative delivery model. Suitable candidates must have the right to work in Hungary and be able to provide invoices.
A proven track record in teaching English for different age groups (young learners aged 6-18, adults) and on different courses (general English, business English, exams preparation) are essential. You must also have a first degree, a TEFL certificate qualification or equivalent and at least 2 years experience of teaching. Some language skills in Hungarian are desirable but not essential.
Short-listing is carried out against knowledge, qualifications and experience as specified in the person specification section of the job description. We may also shortlist against desirable competencies if we get a large pool of applications. Interviewing is carried out against the essential teaching skills, the core behaviours and the generic skills.
